Simple Recipe of Sweet Pongal

Sweet Pongal is a sweet snack or lunch item. This recipe serves 1 person.


Ingredients:

1) Rice

2) Moong Dal

3) Gur

4) Kaju

5) Kismis

6) Ghee

7) Elaichi


Preparation steps:

Roast 1/2 cup (50 grams) of Moong Dal till brownish.

Take 1 cup (100 grams) of Rice and mix the dal and keep it in a cooker with water.

The cooker has to release 3 to 4 whistles.

Now melt 1.5 or 2 cups of Gur in Kadai or a vessel with a thick bottom.

Add little water and once melted, add the cooked rice and dal in it.

Put 2 or 3 spoons of Ghee and mix well.

Let the Gur and Rice Dal become one or else Gur will have a raw taste.

Put 1/2 spoon of Elaichi powder.

Roast Kaju and Kismis and add to the mixture.

Close the lid for 2 minutes.

Your Sweet Pongal is ready.
