Ven Pongal is a Salt snack or Lunch item. This recipe serves 1 person.
Ingredients Required:
1) Rice - 1 cup of 100 grams
2) Jeera - 1 spoon
3) Pepper Crushed - 1/2 spoon
4) Ghee - 2 or 3 spoons
5) Moong Dal - 1/2 cup (50 grams)
Preparation Steps:
Roast Moong Dal nicely brown.
Wash both Rice and Moong Dal and keep them in the vessel with water to be kept in the cooker.
Put in hot Ghee (2 or 3 spoons)
Put crushed Jeera, Pepper, and Curry Leaves to be put in the Rice Dal.
Also, add Salt and Hing Powder.
Stir well before keeping.
Keep in the cooker 3 or 4 whistles.
Once the cooker is over, the Ven Pongal is ready.
Also, put roasted Kaju if required.
