Simple Recipe for Kanda (Onion) Poha

Kanda or Onion Poha is a Salt Snack item. This recipe serves 1 person.


Ingredients Required:

1) 2 cups of Poha medium size

2) 1 onion

3) 1 potato

4) 2 green chilies

5) Kotimbir little 

6) Peanuts - 4 or 5

7) Cumin seeds


Preparation Steps:

Put Kadai on gas and add 2 to 3 spoons of cooking oil.

When the oil is hot, put little rai and cumin seeds.

Let the Rai burst then add the chopped onions and potatoes, and green chilies.

Keep on stirring till the potatoes are cooked.

Put a little Haldi and Salt in it.

Now soaked Poha can be added.

Stir well and close the lid for 5 minutes.

Keep the gas slow.

Once the lid is opened, you may add coconut and coriander leaves.

Poha is ready.
