1) If you wish to reach the highest, begin at the lowest.
Meaning: Every ladder towards success starts right from down so that you can take the initial steps and set up the foundation for a strong future.
2) Who dare nothing, need hope for nothing.
Meaning: If you are not bold enough to accept life's challenges and deal with them, then you need not also hope for great things in life.
3) You can't cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water. Don't let yourself indulge in vain wishes.
Meaning: If you really want to go to the other side of the sea, then you have to come out of your habits that don't take you anywhere.
4) Aim at the sun and you may not reach it, but your arrow will fly far higher than if aimed at an object at a level with yourself.
Meaning: Keep your ambitions high enough so that you will give your best while trying to attain them and in the same process, you will reach somewhere nearby.
5) Goodness consists not in the outward things we do, but in the inward things we are.
Meaning: If you really want to be a good person, then work within yourself and your values and not just on your physical features.
