1) There is no greater nuisance in a country than an argumentative person.
Meaning: An argumentative person is such a troublemaker not just for others but for himself as well because he will find only negative angles in every conversation and topic.
2) They defend their errors as if they were defending their inheritance.
Meaning: Some people hide their mistakes and justify if caught in the same manner as they are protecting their legacy.
3) Knowledge is of two kinds. We know one subject ourselves or we know where we can get information upon it.
Meaning: There are two types of knowledge - one is an aware person and the other is the person who knows from where he can get the information.
4) With a man, lie is a last resort. With women, it's first aid.
Meaning: Men start lying at the end thinking that it will close the matter. But for women, lying in the first place will help them open up the topic.
5) No democracy can exist for long in the midst of want, poverty, and inequality.
Meaning: There is no system to live longer if there are unmet needs, inequality among various sections, and poverty prevalent in society.
