Vegetable Sambhar is a salt-liquid dish that is mixed with rice and eaten for lunch or dinner. Some people also use it as a side dish to eat with snack items like upma or dosas. This recipe serves 2 people.
Ingredients:
1) Toor Dal
2) Tamarind
3) White Red pumpkin
4) Bhendi
5) Drumsticks
6) Small or big onions
Preparation:
Cook 100 grams of Toor dal in a cooker.
Cut vegetables little medium-sized and boil them in tamarind water, salt, and Haldi in it.
If onions are also there then make sure to roast them in oil before cooking.
Once vegetables are cooked, add mashed dal in it and sambhar powder little chilli powder, and hing.
Also, curry leaves a little and let the whole mixture boil nicely.
Then remove it from the fire and put methi seeds and rai kadka in it.
If coconut is required then grind coconut along with sambhar powder and add to the mixture while boiling.
A little gur (one piece small) may be added.
