Faith and Reason: A Story of Enlightenment

Once upon a time, in a small village, lived a young man named Ravi.

Ravi was a deeply religious person. He believed in his God with all his heart.

So much so, that he followed every word of the holy book without question.

One day, a wise old man visited the village. Ravi, eager to impress the wise man with his faith, started reciting verses from the holy book.

The wise man listened patiently and then asked, "Ravi, do you understand the meaning of these words?"

Ravi was taken aback. He had never thought about the meaning. He simply believed that because it was written in the holy book, it must be true.

The wise man explained, "Faith without understanding is like a boat without a rudder. It may set sail, but it will be lost at sea."

Ravi was puzzled. He had always thought that strong faith was enough. But the wise man's words made him think.

He started questioning his beliefs. He read the holy book again, but this time, he tried to understand the message behind the words.

He realized that while faith was important, it was equally important to use reason and logic to understand the world around him. By combining faith with reason, he found a new depth to his beliefs.

From that day on, Ravi became known as a wise and thoughtful man. He continued to have faith, but it was a faith grounded in reason and understanding.

And so, it is true: Faith must be enforced by reason. When faith becomes blind, it dies.
